This property as the name suggests is named after Maharaj Kanwar JASWANT SINGH Ji II of DEOGARH (MEWAR). The rulers of Deogarh are direct descendants of ‘CHUNDA’ (CHONDA), and for this reason they are designated as ‘CHUNDAVATS’
JASWANT NIWAS is an approximately 60 year old residence, initially owned by Maharaj Himmat Singh Ji of Jodhpur (Present ruler Maharaja Gaj Singh II’s uncle) and later purchased by the present owner LT. COL. Randhir Singh of Deogarh , a Retd. Indian Army Officer and a 1971 war veteran. He is also the present Rao Sahib of Deogarh’s uncle.
Each Room / Bathroom has been individually designed with different color and upholstery. Leaning towards the " minimalastic approach" the design goal was on achieving the perfect balance of space, luxury, comfort and local artistic touch of Jodhpur. Subtle lit and painted alcoves, Mandanas on walls / ceiling done by local artist adorn most of the rooms, 8 inch mattress, large work station, completed with luxurious bedding create a magical atmosphere. Bathroom are spacious and spotlessly clean with Fresh towels, Rain showers with good water pressure, Toilet rolls, Body wash, Hand wash compliment the luxury of the rooms.
We serve a full lavish breakfast in our elegantly furnished and air conditioned dining room which over looks the courtyard with beautiful potted plants.
The breakfast includes Fresh Fruits as per the season, Cereals with Milk, Butter, Jam, Bread and eggs to order or choose from our Indian menu along with freshly brewed Tea / Coffee.
On special request we even out source local delicacies of Jodhpur for Breakfast.
